Basic eligibility paths

• ✓Eligibility Conditions (Para 3): all candidates shall be required to apply online for the post whether they are registered with the Employment Exchange or otherwise; Departmental Candidates must also apply online and produce a No Objection Certificate issued by the Head of the Department at the time of verification of original certificates and documents; and the applicant must be an Indian Citizen.
• ✓Educational qualification (Para 5): Secondary School Examination (X Std.) passed from a recognised Board or Institution; the candidate should qualify in the Physical test and must have good physique. Knowledge of Hindi is desirable.
• ✓Age limit as per the Recruitment Rules: 18-33 years for male and 18-38 years for female candidates. The note adds that a candidate must have attained 18 years and must not have attained the age over and above 33/38 years for male/female candidates respectively as on the closing date, 06.05.2026.
• ✓Only applications successfully filled through the website of the A&N Administration and found in order shall be accepted; candidature of candidates not meeting the eligibility conditions will be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process without notice, and candidature of applicants is purely provisional at all stages.
• ✓Reservation for ST candidates applies to those ST as specified in constitutional order No. 1959 of A&N Islands (Scheduled Tribes); reservation for OBC applies to those OBCs specified in Administration circular No.8-3/2003-TW dated 30 Mar 2006; EWS reservation and Meritorious Sportsperson age relaxation apply as per guidelines issued by the Government of India or A&N Administration from time to time.
