Who can apply?

Basic eligibility paths
- Applicants who want the GATE screening channel must hold a valid GATE-2024, GATE-2025 or GATE-2026 score in the GATE paper mapped to their qualifying degree; the highest of the three scores is used.
- An applicant may choose the online examination channel, the GATE channel, or both — the brochure advises using both because GATE cut-offs are only fixed after the online examination.
- DGFS is open only to engineering graduates who excel in the OCES selection interview and independently secure M.Tech admission at a listed DGFS institute in the same academic year.
- Selected candidates must execute an agreement and a personal indemnity bond to serve DAE for at least three years after training; no third-party surety is required.
- A trainee must score at least 35% in each subject and 50% aggregate to pass the training programme and be posted as Scientific Officer 'C'.
Relaxations & certificates
