- Each BSF advertisement fixes its own post-wise education, age, physical standard, trade and medical conditions; the BSF recruitment portal publishes the detailed advertisement and every corrigendum for the post concerned.
- The portal distinguishes direct recruitment from departmental recruitment within the same advertisement, so serving BSF personnel and outside candidates can face different conditions for one post.
