Basic eligibility paths

• ✓Applicants need a valid 15-year Goa residence certificate issued by the competent authority in Goa and registration with the Employment Exchange, Goa, alongside the birth, caste or social-status, EWS and experience certificates relevant to their claim.
• ✓Reservations within the advertisement include ex-servicemen, meritorious sportspersons and ex-Agniveers, plus security guards and housekeeping staff with three years' service in the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation.
• ✓Knowledge of Konkani is an essential qualification for every post, and passing the Test of Konkani language is mandatory for the merit list — a candidate must score at least 4 of the 10 Konkani marks in CBT-I to be taken up for further evaluation.
• ✓A candidate must apply separately for each post and in the respective category; anyone applying for more than one of the posts at serial numbers 2 to 14 appears in only one CBT-I batch, and if they appear in more than one batch only the first attempt counts.
• ✓The advertisement prescribes post-wise physical requirements — for the forest cadres a 25 km walking test in 4 hours for men and 16 km in 4 hours for women, and for the Platoon Commander and police cadres running, long jump, high jump and shot-put standards alongside height and chest measurements.
• ✓The eligibility cut-off for qualifications, age and experience is the last date of application.

Selection stages

1. 1Computer-based test CBT-I — 60 marks in 75 minutes with no negative marking, used for shortlisting and screening only; a common CBT-I is held for all posts at serial numbers 2 to 14, and a separate two-tier CBT applies to the Range Forest Officer post at serial number 1
2. 2Physical Endurance Test — qualifying only and carrying no marks; the Commission deputes candidates equal to twenty times the number of posts in each category or sub-category on the merit of CBT-I
3. 3For Constable (Greaser), Constable (Electrician) and Lascar the addendum of 23 Feb 2026 adds a swimming proficiency test followed by a medical board checking sound health, 6/6 vision without glasses and absence of colour blindness
4. 4Computer-based test CBT-II — from the candidates who qualified the PET the Commission shortlists 10 times the posts for serial numbers 1, 7 and 8, 3.5 times for serial number 4 and 5 times for serial numbers 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14; CBT-II is held separately for serial numbers 1, 4, 6, 7 and 8, in one common batch for serial numbers 2, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14, and in one common batch for serial numbers 3 and 9
5. 5Merit and post allocation — minimum passing marks in the CBT are 45% for unreserved, 40% for OBC and 35% for SC/ST candidates, and where candidates tie the one born earlier is placed higher; for the common CBT-II batches candidates then opt for the post on the basis of eligibility and CBT-II merit, with the other procedure of selection following Goa government O.M. No.1/6/83-PER(Vol.II)Pt.(a)/143 dated 14 Jan 2019

• CBT-II, Round Forester (Level 3) and Forest Guard (Level 2) — Test of Reasoning 10, Test of Numerical Ability 10, Test of English Language and Comprehension 20 and General Geography of Goa 20; total 60 marks in 75 minutes.
• CBT-II, Police Constable (Male/Female), Police Constable (Armed Police), Assistant Superintendent (Male), Warden (Male), Matron (Female), Lascar (Male) and Escort (Female) — Test of Reasoning 10, Test of Numerical Ability 10, Test of English Language and Comprehension 20 and General History of Goa 20; total 60 marks in 75 minutes.
• CBT-II, Police Constable Driver (Grade-III) — Test of Reasoning 10, Test of Numerical Ability 10, Test of English Language and Comprehension 20 and Knowledge of Traffic Rules and Maintenance of Vehicles 20; total 60 marks in 75 minutes.
