Basic eligibility paths
- Unmarried male candidates only, aged 20 to 27 years as on 1 Jan 2027 (born 1 Jan 2000 to 1 Jan 2007, both dates inclusive), per the official TGC-144 notification cited here.
- BE/B.Tech, or M.Sc Computer Science, in one of the engineering streams notified for the course; final-year candidates may apply subject to the conditions in the notification.
- There is no written examination — shortlisting to the SSB is on a stream-wise cut-off percentage in the engineering degree, published on the Join Indian Army portal.
- Selection is completed by a five-day SSB interview and a recruitment medical, followed by a 12-month course at IMA Dehradun leading to a Permanent Commission.
- The notification states the 30 vacancies are tentative and may change with organisational requirement.
