Basic eligibility paths
- Unmarried men and unmarried women graduates or postgraduates, or candidates in the final year of the qualifying degree, per the official SSC Jun 2027 (AT 27) advertisement cited here.
- Each branch and cadre carries its own birth-date window and academic requirement, so a candidate must read the row for the exact branch applied for.
- There is no written examination — shortlisting for the SSB uses normalised marks in the qualifying degree, taking marks up to the fifth semester for regular BE/B.Tech and the seventh semester for integrated courses.
- NCC 'C' certificate holders of the Naval, Army or Air Wing with at least 'B' grade, at least two academic years in the Senior Division and a certificate not dated before 1 Jul 2024 get a 5% relaxation in the SSB shortlisting cut-off.
- Male candidates shortlisted for GS(X) may additionally volunteer for the submarine arm and for the Remotely Piloted Aircraft cadre, subject to medicals, vacancies and service requirement.
- Candidates with a backlog pending at document verification are not permitted to appear at the SSB, and proof of the qualifying degree with at least 60% marks must reach the Navy before joining INA Ezhimala by Jun 2027.
