- Vacancies
- Anticipated vacancies; no figure notified Category 423/2025 notifies 'anticipated vacancies' without a number. Candidates are advised from the resulting ranked list against vacancies reported in writing during its currency, and cannot choose a particular company, corporation, board or scale of pay. Four per cent of the total fresh vacancies reported are reserved for eligible differently abled candidates under G.O.(P) No.136/2025/SJD dated 06.06.2025.
- Education
- 10th A pass in Standard VII or an equivalent qualification, together with knowledge of cycling. Women and differently abled candidates are exempted from the cycling requirement.
- Age
- 18-36. Only candidates born between 2 Jan 1989 and 1 Jan 2007 (both dates included) may apply, with the usual relaxation for Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates. Provisional hands already working in the concern get relaxation equal to their provisional service, up to a maximum of five years. Relaxations and cut-off dates are category-specific.

Basic eligibility paths
- Applications are accepted online only, through the Kerala PSC One Time Registration system.
- Selected candidates have no right to choose a particular company, corporation, board or scale of pay; advice follows the Commission's reservation and rotation rules.
- Probation follows the special rules of the individual company, corporation or board.
- Regular employees of the concern are not eligible for the provisional-service age concession.

- The August 2026 programme records each preliminary stage as a 100-mark OMR paper of one hour fifteen minutes, offered in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.
