Who can apply?

A readable first check—not a legal eligibility decision.

Basic eligibility paths

  • Patwari is a district-level cadre post: reservation and the roster are applied at district level and a Madhya Pradesh local-resident certificate is compulsory (rulebook chapter 1, clauses 4.1 and 6).
  • For the Divyangjan Patwari posts the horizontal reservation is 6 per cent, split 2-2-2 per cent across the three disability groups; the Revenue Department's letter 648/2009/सात/5-बी dated 11 May 2009 makes visually impaired candidates ineligible for the Patwari post (rulebook clause 6.1).
  • A candidate who married before the prescribed minimum age (21 years for men and 18 for women), or who has more than two living children born after 26 January 2001, is ineligible (rulebook clause 7.5).
  • Live registration with a Madhya Pradesh employment exchange is compulsory for every post in this test (rulebook page 1, note 11).
  • Baiga, Sahariya/Saharia and Bhariya applicants for non-executive posts must send a separate hard-copy application in Format-2 directly to the recruiting department, not to ESB (rulebook page 1, note 12).

Relaxations & certificates

  • SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex-servicemen relaxations follow the applicable notification.
  • Always check the certificate format and cut-off date in the official notice.
If your degree title, age, domicile or category certificate is unusual, mark yourself “check required” and read the official wording.
