Vacancies
Not announced
Vacancies for this selection test are fixed by the School Education and Tribal Affairs departments in each cycle's rulebook; no current-cycle count is published.
Education
12th · Graduate
A candidate must hold the primary teacher qualification under the Madhya Pradesh State School Education Service (Academic Cadre) Recruitment Rules 2018 — broadly Higher Secondary with the prescribed percentage plus a two-year D.El.Ed, a four-year B.El.Ed, a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or a degree with a two-year D.El.Ed — and must already have qualified the Primary School Teacher Eligibility Test, because the eligibility-test rulebook states that TET-qualified candidates must additionally sit this selection test (PSTET 2024 rulebook, chapter 1, clause 7).
Age
The eligibility-test rulebook records that a candidate must be at least 21 years old as on 1 January of the selection test's advertisement year, with the maximum age fixed by the General Administration Department rules in force at that time (PSTET 2024 rulebook, chapter 1, clause 7); the exact band for the next cycle will be restated in its own rulebook.
Relaxations and cut-off dates are category-specific.
Application fee
₹500 for unreserved candidates and ₹250 for Madhya Pradesh-domicile SC/ST/OBC/EWS/divyangjan candidates in the previous cycle (PSTST 2025 rulebook, page 1), with no fee for direct-recruitment backlog posts and an MP Online portal fee of ₹60 via kiosk or ₹20 via a registered citizen login; the next cycle's fee is not published yet.
Use the official payment instructions only.
Pay
Primary Teacher minimum pay ₹25,300 plus dearness allowance, with probation pay under General Administration Department circular C.3-13/2019/3/एक dated 12 December 2019 (PSTET 2024 rulebook, clause 9).

Who can apply?

A readable first check—not a legal eligibility decision.

Basic eligibility paths

  • A pass in the Madhya Pradesh Primary School Teacher Eligibility Test is a precondition; the eligibility certificate alone gives no right to appointment (PSTET 2024 rulebook, clause 7).
  • The reference date for holding the academic and professional qualification is the date of the department's selection-test advertisement (PSTET 2024 rulebook, clause 7).
  • The 2025 cycle carried extra application windows for court-case candidates and for special D.El.Ed candidates, and its result was revised twice — check the cycle rulebook and notices before relying on any earlier merit list.

Relaxations & certificates

  • SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex-servicemen relaxations follow the applicable notification.
  • Always check the certificate format and cut-off date in the official notice.
If your degree title, age, domicile or category certificate is unusual, mark yourself “check required” and read the official wording.
