- Vacancies
- 633 posts across seven cadres The rule book prints a separate table for each cadre and no combined figure; 633 is the sum of the seven cadre totals it publishes. Clause 1.8 reserves the company's right to increase or reduce the advertised vacancies, to fill them wholly or partly, or to amend or cancel the advertisement at any time.
- Education
- 10th · ITI / Diploma · Graduate · Professional degree Assistant Engineer (Transmission): a full-time regular B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics engineering from an AICTE- or UGC-recognised university or institution, or an AMIE degree. The qualification for each of the other six cadres is set out in the rule book's chapter 2 table, which also fixes the pay for the post (rule book clause 2).
- Age
- Age is computed as on 1 January 2025. The minimum is 21 years for Class-II posts and 18 years for Class-III and Class-IV posts. The maximum is 40 years for unreserved and EWS men and for candidates from other states, and 45 years for Madhya Pradesh-domicile unreserved and EWS women, for MP-domicile SC/ST/OBC and divyangjan candidates and for MP-domicile employees of government, corporations, boards, autonomous bodies and the Home Guards. Serving departmental employees of the erstwhile MP State Electricity Board's successor companies may apply up to the cadre's retirement age, and contract employees get one year's relaxation per completed year of service capped at 55 years (rule book clause 3). Relaxations and cut-off dates are category-specific.
- Application fee
- ₹1,200 for unreserved candidates and ₹600 for Madhya Pradesh-domicile SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), EWS and divyangjan candidates. The fee is non-refundable and is accepted only online through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI, with any bank transaction charge borne by the applicant (rule book clause 7). Use the official payment instructions only.
- Pay
- Assistant Engineer (Transmission): ₹56,100–1,77,500 on Level-12 of the pay matrix fixed by company order AS/MPPTCL/III/650 dated 15 February 2019; the pay for each of the other cadres is printed against it in the rule book's chapter 2 table. Gross and in-hand pay vary by posting and allowance.
