- ₹100 intimation charges only for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and ₹550 in all (₹450 application fee plus ₹100 intimation charges) for everyone else, exclusive of 18% GST; NABARD staff candidates are reimbursed on producing the receipt. Use the official payment instructions only.
- Pay
- Starting basic pay ₹23,100 a month including two advance increments, in the scale ₹20700(1)-1200(3)-24300-1440(4)-30060-1920(6)-41580-2080(2)-45740-2370(3)-52850-2850(1)-55700, with initial gross monthly emoluments of about ₹46,500. Gross and in-hand pay vary by posting and allowance.

Who can apply?

Basic eligibility paths
- A candidate may apply for vacancies in one State only, and must be proficient in that State's official language — able to read, write, speak and understand it.
- A candidate may apply for only one post, either Development Assistant or Development Assistant (Hindi).
- Upper-age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 for OBC, 10/13/15 years for PwBD by category, and service rendered plus 3 years up to 50 for ex-servicemen; no cumulative relaxation beyond this is allowed.
- Candidates who passed 10th or 12th standard with the declared state language as a subject are exempt from the Language Proficiency Test on producing the mark sheet.
- Appointment is subject to being declared medically fit under the Bank's rules, and the wait list stays valid for one year from approval of the select list or until the next recruitment's result, whichever is earlier.
Relaxations & certificates
- SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex-servicemen relaxations follow the applicable notification.
- Always check the certificate format and cut-off date in the official notice.
If your degree title, age, domicile or category certificate is unusual, mark yourself “check required” and read the official wording.

Selection stages

Syllabus snapshot
- Development Assistant Phase-I: English Language 40 questions/40 marks, Numerical Ability 30/30 and Reasoning 30/30 — 100 marks in 60 minutes.
- Development Assistant Phase-II: Reasoning 30 marks, Quantitative Aptitude 30, General Awareness with special reference to agriculture, rural development and banking 50, Computer Knowledge 40, and a descriptive English paper of three questions for 50 marks — 200 marks in 135 minutes.
- Development Assistant (Hindi) replaces Numerical Ability with a Professional Knowledge (Hindi/English) test in Phase-I, and in Phase-II carries Reasoning 20, Professional Knowledge 50, General Awareness 40, Computer Knowledge 40 and the same 50-mark descriptive English paper.
- One fourth of the marks is deducted for each wrong objective answer in both phases, and only Phase-II marks count towards the final state-wise merit list.
