Who can apply?

A readable first check—not a legal eligibility decision.

Basic eligibility paths

  • Hold a university degree or its equivalent by the closing date of 14 Aug 2026 — CEN 03/2026 states that candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.
  • Meet medical standard A-2; Section Controller is a safety-category post with vision and hearing requirements.
  • Apply to only one RRB; CEN 03/2026 rejects all applications of a candidate who applies to more than one RRB.
  • PwBD-LD candidates are eligible under CEN 03/2026 but no vacancy is reserved for them in this CEN, so they are considered against their own community.

Relaxations & certificates

  • SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex-servicemen relaxations follow the applicable notification.
  • Always check the certificate format and cut-off date in the official notice.
If your degree title, age, domicile or category certificate is unusual, mark yourself “check required” and read the official wording.
