21 to 40 years as on 1 January 2026 under clause 5 of advertisement A-1/S.R./2026: candidates must have completed 21 years on that date and must not be more than 40 years, i.e. not born before 1 January 1986 and not later than 1 January 2005. The maximum age limit for divyangjan is 55 years, i.e. not born before 1 January 1971. The maximum age is relaxed by 5 years for Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class candidates, skilled sportspersons of classified sports of Uttar Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh state employees and teachers/employees of the U.P. Basic Education Council and of aided secondary schools (not born before 1 January 1981), by 15 years for divyang candidates of Uttar Pradesh, and by the period of army service plus 3 years for Emergency and Short-Term Commissioned Officers and ex-servicemen.
