West Bengal Primary Teacher Eligibility Test (WB TET)

Basic eligibility paths

• ✓The Board is constituted under the West Bengal Primary Education Act 1973 and regulates primary teacher eligibility and recruitment in the state.
• ✓Confirm education, D.El.Ed. or equivalent training, age and category rules from the Board's official TET notification for the cycle you are applying to; nothing about a current cycle is asserted here.
• ✓Qualifying the TET is an eligibility step; appointment follows a separate recruitment notification for Assistant Teachers in primary schools, which the Board issues on the same notice list.

Selection stages

1. 1A single Teacher Eligibility Test for Classes I to V (Primary) — the stage sequence recorded on the Board's dated notice list for TET-2023 was notification, online application (with a reopening and an edit option), admit card, examination, provisional answer keys with argumentation through the OCMS portal, final answer keys and result.
2. 2The Board issues a TET eligibility certificate to qualified candidates; its notice list carries separate notifications on issuing TET-2014, TET-2017 and TET-2022 eligibility certificates.
