- During training the notification provides free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and a monthly stipend as per rules amended from time to time; a Permanent or Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service follows successful completion of the B.Sc (Nursing) course, subject to the service bond. Gross and in-hand pay vary by posting and allowance.

Basic eligibility paths
- Female candidates only, who are unmarried, divorced, legally separated or widowed without encumbrances, and citizens of India (paras 3.1 and 3.2 of the official 2026 notification).
- Born between 1 Oct 2001 and 30 Sep 2009, both days inclusive.
- Passed 10+2 or equivalent in the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and at least 50% aggregate, and qualified NEET (UG) 2026.
- Minimum height 152 cm, or 147 cm for candidates from Hill and North Eastern States, with a 2 cm growth allowance for candidates below 18 years at the time of examination; medical fitness is decided by a medical board against the standards in force.
- SC/ST candidates must hold a certificate issued by an authority not below the rank of First Class Magistrate, Tehsildar or Sub Divisional Officer; NCC 'C' certificate holders must upload the certificate.
- Selected candidates execute an agreement bond to serve as an officer in the Military Nursing Service, and bond money is payable proportionately on withdrawal from the course.

- 2Test of General Intelligence and General English (ToGIGE) — a computer-based test at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt
- 3Psychological Assessment and Interview by a Selection Board at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt
- 4Verification of original documents at the screening centre
- 5Special Medical Board, with an Appeal Medical Board at Army Hospital (R&R) within 24 hours if declared unfit
- 6Final merit of NEET (UG) 2026 score plus ToGIGE score plus Psychological Assessment and Interview, then college allocation by merit-cum-choice
Syllabus snapshot
- ToGIGE: 40 multiple-choice questions of 2 marks each for a maximum of 80 marks in 30 minutes, with 0.5 negative marking for every incorrect answer.
- Interview questions may cover core subjects up to Class XII, general knowledge, current affairs and the candidate's interests and hobbies; weightage is given for sports achievements and for dependants of serving personnel, ex-servicemen and those killed in action.
- No separate written syllabus beyond NEET (UG) 2026 and ToGIGE is prescribed in the official notification.
